I would like to share my knowledge about language development with you. We will discuss how you can support the children in your daily work and improve communication.
I love interdisciplinary work, especially with educators and teachers. You have a valuable knowledge of how children communicate in everyday life. You experience hurdles on a daily basis and can directly offer strategies to solve problems. I would like to support you and provide you with knowledge that will make your work easier. I also like to chat about what support strategies make sense and what is possible in everyday life.
I offer the following (online) workshops (in English or German) with the following topics:
1. What should I know about multilingualism to help children learn languages?
Topics covered:
- At what point is a person bilingual or multilingual?
- Factors that influence multilingualism
- Advantages and disadvantages of growing up multilingual
- How to handle the home language (at home)
- Language support versus language therapy
- Helping tools to facilitate the children’s entry into multilingualism

2. Milestones in language development: When does a child have a language disorder?
Topics covered:
- Important milestones in language development (0-4 years).
- Vocabulary
- Speech/pronunciation
- Grammar
- Communication/language use
- Difficulties in language development/language disorders
- Important aspects in the treatment of language disorders
